I've used both and honestly, StarBackdrop's print quality feels a bit sharper and colors pop more. Durability is about the same for vinyl, you gotta be careful with either. I found StarBackdrop's material a tiny bit thicker though.

Are starbackdrop backdrops actually wrinkle-resistant like they claim? I've had some bad experiences with other brands looking like a rumpled mess straight out of the package.

The microfiber ones are pretty good. I hang mine as soon as I get it and any small creases usually fall out within a day or two. Not perfectly wrinkle-free, but way better than vinyl.

vinyl backdrops will def have some creases, but they're usually easy to steam out. the fabric ones are much better in that regard, less fuss.

afaik, custom orders are usually final sale because they're made just for you. best to double-check your design and colors carefully before you confirm.

Yeah, for custom stuff, they're pretty strict. I'd imagine if there's a manufacturing defect it's different, but for 'I don't like it' on a custom order, you're probably out of luck.
